Boeing's Phantom Works offered a first glimpse of Phantom Eye, the hydrogen-powered unmanned demonstrator built to stay aloft at 65,000ft for up to four days at a time, 12 July in St. Louis.

In September, Phantom Eye will move to NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center at Edwards AFB, California, to begin a series of ground and taxi tests in preparation for its maiden flight in the first quarter of 2011. The debut flight is expected to last 4 to 8hr.

II Ukrainian Renewable Energy Forum (REF.UA), meeting professionals, whose activities are connected to the Ukrainian market of alternative energy, will be held on October 14-15, in the center of Ukrainian capital (Ukrainian House, Khreshchatik, 2).  The Forum creates a business platform for exchange of experience, communication, presenting investment projects and for finding the investors in the field of solar and wind energy, as well as in the heat pumps, energy-from-waste projects and small hydropower businesses.
On the second day of the REF.UA simultaneously with the main program of the Forum V International Conference “Alternative Fuels-2010” will be held.

Про бізнес у сфері альтернативного палива серйозно почали говорити в 2006 році, коли Fuel Alternative провела I Міжнародну конференцію "Альтернативне паливо-2006". За п'ять років вектори розвитку альтернативних видів палива та енергії, зокрема, а також паливного сегмента, та й самого автопрому, істотно змінились.

Економічна криза вплинула на плани нафтових компаній, істотно впав об'єм продажу автомобілів у СНД. Разом з тим, поки традиційні сектори економіки "сплять", одна за одною з'являються компанії, які ставлять "на потік" товари, що несуть у собі принципово нові рішення, які змінять картину всього ринку моторного палива ... і, можливо, це відбудеться набагато раніше офіційного оголошення закінчення кризи.
