Developing a favourable investment climate to maximise the potential and diversity of the Ukrainian energy sector.
Ukrainian Energy Forum, taking place at the beginning of March 2011 in Kyiv and which is being jointly organised with the Ministry of Fuel & Energy of Ukraine.
Minister Boyko and his leadership team at the Ministry will be using the forum as a platform to present their investment projects to the international energy community and to put forward the Ministry’s strategy to further improve the investment climate and plans to continue the reform process.
The Adam Smith Ukrainian Energy Forum has again been convened to provide a timely and productive platform for dialogue amongst all interested players in the sector – key government decision-makers and regulators, top executives from leading domestic state and private sector companies, current and potential international strategic investors and respected analysts, advisors and financiers.
2 days of the forum will focus primarily on Oil & Gas with 1 day dedicated to Electricity. The whole spectrum of the energy sector will be covered, including: Ukraine as a vital European energy transportation hub; Reform of the domestic gas sector; Energy efficiency; Stimulating oil & gas E&P activity; Investment in the downstream sector; Development of Ukraine’s unconventional gas reserves; How to achieve genuine market liberalisation in the power sector; Development of renewable energy; Reform of the coal sector; Nuclear power and its role in Ukraine’s power mix and much more.
To remind you, the inaugural Ukrainian Energy Forum took place in Kyiv in October 2008, attracting 280 attendees from 25 countries. In addition, the annual Ukrainian Investment Summit in London, the largest global business event for Ukraine, features a highly popular Energy session each year.
The 50-strong speaker faculty is a clear indication that the Forum promises to be a unique gathering of all interested parties in the Ukrainian energy sector. The panel features:
- Major present and potential strategic investors, such as: Shell, DTEK, AES, Enel, Eurogas, Vanco, ContourGlobal, GEO ALLIANCE, Transeuro Energy, Cadogan Petroleum, Shelton Petroleum, IES and TNK-BP;
